Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

God never stops listening to us if we pray with a sincere heart. He can see beyond any barriers we have set up around ourselves and knows the reasons why. Whatever has kept us from calling out to God in the past, perhaps an abusive situation in childhood the results of which have persisted into adulthood, God knows and longs for us to come to Him! He has made Himself known to us through His Son Jesus, and Jesus has been made known to us through the Word of God, the Bible.

He is there, He is available, and He loves you!

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S DAILY NOT SO TRIVIAL TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. How many times did Jesus say we are to forgive our
brother?

Answer below.

--DAILY BIBLE VERSE:

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, ...how often I wanted to gather your
children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings,
but you were not willing!"

Matthew 23:37

Jesus is waiting to receive us into His arms,
all we need do is ask!

--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

There is no revenge so sweet as forgiveness.

--FEATURED FUNNY:

A door-to-door salesman approached a nice home where two kids
played in the front yard and asked them if either of their
parents were home.
"Yeah, they're both home."
The salesman rang the bell and waited. He rang again.
Still, no one answered the door.
"Why won't they come to the door?" he asked the kids.
"This isn't our house," said one.

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. How many times did Jesus say we are to forgive our brother?

A. seventy times seven, or perhaps seventy-seven
(depending on how one translates)

Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my
brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, seven times, but up
to seventy times seven."

Matthew 18:21&22

Perhaps Peter thought he was being generous in forgiving up
to seven times but Jesus' answer shows that we are to go far
beyond that level. No matter how you translate the number,
Jesus' clear message is that we are to be willing to forgive
if our brother comes to us with a repentant heart.
